"Hey guys, do you reckon you could play Left 4 Dead after this?"A polite, innocent request from someone appealing directly to the channel owner. Appears to be new. Should be notified by others in chat that game requests when not asked for are not reccomended and then should be given a link to the rules for any further clarification. "PLAY FATALE FRAEM"Instant T/O for these f uckers. My point is that people do genuinely don't know how 4Player Podcast works. We do get fresh people joining who've seen the highlights somewhere and want to watch some entertainment much like any AVGN or Zero Punctuation or any other internet shows. Sure it's easy to label these people 'youtubers' for acting newbish, but I doubt many here can say they found 4PP or even jtv without watching one of their videos on youtube in the first place. And I'm even willing to bet a few of you have asked a game request or discussed nothing but wanting to see Brad scream for the lulz. But, if 4PP didn't want to gain new viewers they wouldn't bother putting up any more videos on their youtube account. All I'm saying is not to quickly judge or insult new people for breaking a few minor rules or not getting to grips with what 4Player Podcast and the community are like. What we should be doing is informing and encouraging them, hoping eventually they soon become well mannered, friendly viewers to see and chat with. Maybe even becoming popular regulars. But of course we'll carry on timing out any asshats who clearly just want to be aggravating. Minion is right, moderating a chatroom is (Or should be) a basis sort of thing. Its hard to keep a chatroom lively and enjoyable while retaining order. Like when a small joke spirals into reccuring spam, or how many ! is too many. We could either be totally strict with zero tolerance or let everyone get away with anything. Its black and white, but we try to work within the grey area if you understand. Yeah, this is starting to sound a bit of Judge Dredd philosophy, but in all honesty thats kind of how it works. The internets. Serious business. I agree, granted I haven't been here a whole lot, but i think if it's a polite request or an innocent mistake, then they're good, but its a TO for ppl who demand a game to be played. I've also noticed ppl who say they don't like the game, what can b done about those chaps?

I've also noticed ppl who say they don't like the game, what can b done about those chaps? That's also based on how they present their issue with the game. If they come in with a "This game blows" or "This game is shit" then they should probably be given a warning. If they do this in caps, then that's worth a time-out in my opinion. If a person states their issue with a game and why they don't like it in a logical way then I don't think it's fair to tell them to bugger off. For example, "This game sucks" or "I don't like this game BECAUSE it sucks" is a bogus statement. "I never really liked this game, It was very buggy and the Bosses were pretty comical, also the story made little or no sense to me" Is a slightly better formed statement, honestly what bugs me is when people shit all over a game without backing it up. Most of the time unbacked statements just mean someone hasn't actually played the game and has nothing to specify and is just shitting all over a game to make a scene or a be a troll. Saying you didn't like playing something however doesn't mean you don't want to watch 4PP play it. Also even if someone says they don't like a game, I think it's just worth a polite reminder that it's unappreciated. If it starts happening excessively and if one person consistently state that a game is worthless, they deserve a time out.

how about a TO for the kids who ask Brad to scream, randomly? It's like asking a celebrity to do a line from a cliche' movie they were in years ago. They hate it, and chances are it's really not that funny anyway.
I still can't figure out the obsession with asking the guys to play GTAIV or L4D. They're good games, but they're really only fun to play, not so much to watch, and both games have graced the cast several times. Doubtful that they'd make a return, unless the guys are killing time.

I think if it's excessive go ahead and TO people. I say once is a warning, twice is a TO.

If someone doesn't like the game the guys are broadcasting they can go away. NO one is forcing them to stay. And I believe you should be warned if you excessivly request another game to be played. Regardless the guys are going to play whatever game they feel like playing. There will be times when they'll ask chat for recommendations.
Why do I feel like I'm repeating myself or someone else? O.o

I'm just so surprised at how 1 person over the internet, thinks that they can command a channel owner, whom they've never met, give them a demand, and expect to see results. 1 person over the internet ain't gonna change someones choice
