I am kind of confused on how I would go about doing what 4PP does ... I mean, how do I stream the footage to my laptop so I can broadcast it? Or how does this whole broadcasting thing go ... I have never done one before so I just need to know the basics.

I have never done one before so I just need to know the basics. If you're asking, "How do I broadcast like 4PP does?" (which, by the way, if it is, you need to word the question better), you need a video capture card, Dazzle and Flash Media Encoder.

Alright. I have the Dazzle and I can find the Flash Media Encoder. Now to find out about these video capture cards ... are they expensive?

You don't need a capture card if you have a Dazzle.
Unless its over DVC100 then it wont work for broadcasting, but you can still record footage.
