I know it isn't exactly a banner, and it's kinda hard to read, but I made this a week or so ago and posted it in the art forum.  It's not all that fantastic mainly because I only spent 5 minutes on it, but I could easily make a better one, and in more of a banner form too. If not I can also make pretty decent banners in Photoshop. I'll post some up when I make some =] |

What dimensions are you looking for? Does height matter at all or do you just want anything that's 950 px wide?

The current banner is 710x150 pixels. So I'd assume they want something around that size.

Hello David,
I am working on a redone version of the site, I am creating it in Macromedia Dreamweaver in my spare time during my Web Site Design class. I hope to be done within a week and will add my version of the banner within the site [I'll leave it open for change incase you guys like the site but not the banner].
I can post screenshots of how it's going or rather I can e-mail you the folder with the pages and buttons in it, If you have some rudimentary knowledge on creating and managing a website (which I'm sure you do) you'll probably be able to handle it from there, I'd offer to manage it but I'm assuming you wouldn't want someone you don't know that well handling something that important.
If you don't like it that's all well and good, I just feel that the current site is a little to cluttered and there are some redundant tabs and useless links so I just decided to have fun making my own version.
Finally, Is the quote in your signature from Roronoa Zoro? I may be unbelievably wrong here.
