I expect someone will do a "Mirror's Edge Bloopers" after it's release. I can imagine some of the funny accidents that occur if you miss a ledge. That video looks so realistic you'd think it was just a cutscene.

I still have doubts abput Mirror's Edge, but at least they've shown that it's not completely linear.

I still have doubts abput Mirror's Edge, but at least they've shown that it's not completely linear. what kind of doubts? Well, ok. Prepare for rant time. I just think repetition is going to kick in early. After wall running and jumping from ledge to ledge for a few hours it's most likely going to get boring after a while. Combat looks both easy and difficult to pull off. If you don't press attack at the right time then you just stand around like a looney while getting rifle butted, but if you do do it at the right time you seem to pull off a prerendered kill/knockout, which kinda feels cheap. The levels have this sort of colourful but bland and plain art style to them. The story doesn't stand out for me enough either. And as a real nitpick, I find watching freerunning moves being done in third person more exciting than first. It just looks cooler to me imo and more cinematic. Hell thats the only reason I'll play Assassins Creed once in a while. Well, thats what I think. I have no doubt people will have fun, and for all I know it could get high scores all round, but I'm not feeling the hype for it. Could be because there's like too many AAA games I'm waiting for that I can't care about anymore games. lol

I think Mirror's Edge is gonna be another Dark Messiah...remember that failure? I bet you can link the two out.

It may have repatition, but its going to be kinda puzzle solving to me. The Start and Finish lines are set, but, the rest is up to you.

I'm staying optimistic about it. It would be easy to mess a game like this up, though. I just hope the developers can get it right, because if they do it will be awesome.
