Mercenaries 2 and Too Human have been panned by reviewers, Spore has been given mediocre reviews, and now The Force Unleashed isn't getting very much (if any) praise from critics. This supposedly blockbuster Fall video game season is having a rocky start.

Let's just hope that the rest of this season goes well. (Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3, etc.)

Well that makes me feel a whole lot better..NOT! : | And I just pre-ordered one of those games too. Oh wth, I don't think I have ever really read any of the video game reviews. It has always been the quality of the product.
I'm not done, I'll modify this later, I have to go somewhere.

When I pick up a game I tend look it over and read the back. If it looks good and sounds good to me then I'll buy it. I rarely read any of the game reviews. I will admit that I have bought a couple of games in which I thought they'd be great but unfortunately they weren't. But I have been watching the guys and reading some of your posts in which have helped me in deciding on what games I should buy and what I shouldn't buy. So I have all of you to thank for that. ;D

Spore was cool, but just wasn't that much of a game in it's own right. I haven't played TFU yet. |

Spore had a big flaw that we all know of. Too Human and Mercenaries 2 were just plainly bad. I'm hoping Fable 2, Fallout 3, and the rest won't be hit by bad gaming luck.

It is a bit of a rought start I admit. Of course they're not all bad games, just not what most people were expecting. Out of that bunch I'd say Spore and TFU deserve some credit, but Too Human and Mercenaries 2 are pretty mediocre and most definitely not what they were hyped to be. Hey, at least October can't fail. Fallout 3, LittleBigPlanet, Dead Space, Fable II, Bioshock (PS3), Far Cry 2, Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, Saints Row 2 etc. Those are just the ones I can rememer off the top of my head. Hell if all but three of those games tank I'll still be a happy gamer. Now if only they'd get release sooner (Damn you European release dates. >:[ ).
