I've been saving up some money originally for a new computer ( here). But I'm thinking of buying a PS3. The only PC game I'll really play is Left 4 Dead, and my PC can already play it fine. I currently have enough money for a PS3 and a game, but if I buy a PC I'll have to save up a little bit more and buy it around December. What do you guys think?

It depends do you a need a new pc? If you need a new computer then buy the computer. If you don't need a new pc then I would say go for the ps3 and a game. That's if you really want it. Do what you feel is best for you. I hope that helps you in making a decision.

I agree with snow, weigh out your personal pros and cons for each decision.
But according to you, you said the only new PC game you wanted to play was L4D and you already have a stable system for it? Go for the Ps3.

As Snow has said, if you want to go for the PC. Go for it. If you want the PS3, go for the PS3.

If you feel like you're going to be playing a lot of PC games, then the PC. Basically, if you feel the investment will be worth it.

Umm.... I voted PC but I'll explain. If you say youve already got a good computer, make it better by upgrading parts. Maybe bigger hard drive, better graphics card, ram, processor and what not. Also, it's kinda disappointing to know that L4D is the only game youd play for PC, when 1, its not gonna be THAT great of a game, 2, theres oh so many games for the pc. Like I dunno, Anyything Valve made (TF2, CSS, HL, DoD), Spore. It should also be noted that most multiplatform games are better on PC. PC has better graphics (if your computer is good), better control, and you can download countless number of mods. Oh, and if it's a single player game, you can easily download a torrent of the game. Just get PC parts. I'm pretty sure you can get a nVidia 9800 for $400 or so. Thats the cheapest. www.newegg.com

I'd say a new PC. Or at least upgrade. If the PS3 had any games that really made me say "Woooow", i'd have told you to get that though. But right now, most of the good games are coming out on all platforms, where the PC will have the best features(Far Cry 2 is a good example. Same with Fallout 3)

It's a Dell E310 and it has only a PCI slot. So, yeah. It'd be better to just build a new computer.

Personally, I say go with the PC, but that's just me. If you plan on playing a lot of graphic intense games on the PC than obviously you should get a new PC. However, if you only plan on playing one or two PC games, than don't bother with it. Oh, and I recommend an ATI Radeon HD 4850 for the video card instead of the 8800GS, it is a bit more expensive (about $80 more), but it out performs the older 8800GS by quite a bit and is probably a better investment.

It all comes down to which one has more games you want to play (or in the case of a new PC do you really need a new one). Look at the games for each system and pick the one with more games you really want to play.
