Have you done a segment on video game difficulty changing as time goes on? If not, I'd like to hear if you think games are getting pushed to extremes, like being way too easy (Can't think of a good example here) or way too hard (Ninja Gaiden).

I've noticed a trend in gaming since 2000. There aren't any more unique games anywhere. We get samey shooters that all play the same and the stories may as well be the same, we have knock off WoW clones, I could go on, but I won't.
What are you thoughts on the decline of original games?
Granted, there are still some gems that play well and are original, such as Braid and Portal. However, those games are few and far between.

When RE4 came along many developers started to draw reference from the over-the-shoulder camera (Gears of War, Dead Space, Dark Sector, etc.).
What game this fall, if any, do you think will become a source of reference for future games?
