Question for the topic creator, why was this made when their already was one?

Question for the 4 players,
How do you guys feel about certain genre stereotypes, and how they are either changing or not changing?

For example, resource gathering in RTSes, regenerating health in Third/FirstPSes, grinding in rpgs.

And if you don't like these returning aspects of these genres, how would you change them?

Since this years E3 there has been some definite comebacks from Sony , a sad year for Nintendo and Xbox perhaps losing towards Sony's new updates.

My Question is have your opinions or how frequently you play one consoles changed? (do you have a new favourite console since E3)
