Ok I've been planning on doing this for a wile now, now that Monster Hunter Freedom unite is out world wide now seems like a good time and i know a few 4PP members are planning on buying it and David also mentioned on the podcast last night he has just recently bought it also. Anyway not alot of people know that Monster Hunter titles could be played online using a Wifi Adapter on your PC and a program called Xlink Kai Evolution VII, well screw that method for now simply because the WiFiMAX adapter commonly used with the PSP and Xlink has issues with Vista. Thankfully someone mentioned something about being able to play the games online with your PS3 (any PSP game with ad-hoc only can be used btw) so i decided to do some research and found this on youtube: (PSP must be registered to PS3 also before you begin also your PS3 must use Ethernet conection, wireless doesn't work but they may add it in a later update) If you need help setting up a Japanese PSN account: So if you have a PS3 and PSP and are interested in playing Monster Hunter Freedom Unite online just post yourself here and I'll make a list of users and we can choose a room on the PS3 app to dedicate to our sessions. I used to use Xlink Kai all the time for Monster Hunter games but Vista is a tart and a refuse to go back to XP also. This setup is alot easier than messing with WiFi Max and Xlink however i will look into making it possible to play with Xlink Kai again also but for now this method is easier, aslo Xlink Kai only has text communication this PS3 app has text and Voice Chat which is easier when playing.

Awesome Blitz, if you can figure out a way to get Xlink to work please share, i got it all installed but ZDWlan wouldn't detect my PSP. (Even tho my WiFi still works cause it detected other connections and my PS3 detected my PS3 so i know thats fine too) After i restarted my PC ZDWlan suddenly refused to start, it would appear on the taskbark for a split second then disappear, so i was forced to reinstall ever thing all over again only to get the same results. Thankfully the PS3 app works great, no fuss just install and away you go. ;D I'll be using that til i or someone else figures out a way to get ZDWlan and Xlink to work.

Anymore people want to join? Any that can play now? I'd like to fully test the PS3 app too and if someone can figure out how to fix ZDWlan for WiFiMAX on Vista that would help alot too because not everyone has a PS3 so it limits who can play but with Xlink Kai just about anyone can play if you have a compatible WiFi Stick.

I'm in, once I recover a Memory stick, the game, AND charger since all I have atm is a PSP. Once all that's bought you can bet I'll be a regular (MH2:F took around 150+ hours of my life away XD)

Awesome Grey, lol i remember when i transfered my MHF2 character to Unite i noticed i had clocked over 260 Hours on that game thanks to Xlink Kai lol it makes the game so much more fun. When you get it don't transfer your character over to the game because it kind of spoils it this time because you can keep everything, i deleted my character once i noticed that and am waiting to start from scratch with everyone that joins.

This gave me hope, I might just have to buy the game after all. But that right now is still Up in the air.
When I move Ill see if I can get a wired connection in my room. If I cant I WONT buy it (No Online play FTL), I don't know anyone else other then Blitz in Florida with a PSP.
Anyway, once I'm in Florida and settled ill see what I can do.
