Theater/Acting Thread Redux.

So, our drama group's end of the year banquet was last night. We watched the seniors get their props and praise, and they did a hilarious skit pertaining to the two productions we did that year, as well as making fun of most of the cast and crew, including myself. X3

We also had our Thespian inductions - a title given to those who have met a certain set of standards. I was one of the juniors that was inducted this year, as well a recipient of a spur-of-the-moment Improv award (how ironic. x3) for a certain incident during the New England performance of the one act. I'll save that story for another post.

At the end, we found out our next musical, and my final musical in high school, would be Little Shop of Horrors. I'm very lenient towards both Seymour and the Plants.

If anyone has any experience with this show and willing to give a few tips, as well as any other shows they've done, post them here!

I've been trying to break into the professional part of theater as a musician now for about a month and it looks like the way I'll be doing that is working as a musician on a cruise ship for a few months. I already have an audition set up so hopefully after this I can start working in regional theater.

I haven't been involved in musicals and plays for quite sometime due to other things, but I've certainly been in them before. ^_^

Our school did "Moby Dick: The Musical" this year. We did well despite our financial situation, and got many awards. I hope to get involved next year. ^_^

I just sat in my friend's Acting final - an hour of improv. Reminds me of when I took the class there....didn't seem like much of a class at all. x3
