Xbox: Multiplayer with friends. Almost requires additional components to be bought to enjoy online and less frustrating gaming. Xbox live monthly fee, with a point system that if I remember correctly is not a 1:1 ratio. There is a TON on content on the store. You cannot find a hard drive bigger than 120g (i believe).
PS3: Multiplayer with few friends. High price, but over time playing an xbox will cost the same. Online gaming is free. PSN store prices are fair, minus a few things like ingame content, wallpaper/themes. Most have to be bought, but some do not. Not a whole lot on the PSN right now, but they are getting into releasing Japanese PS1 classics. You can change the hard drive for one up to 600g I believe.
I personally do not use an Xbox. Mine RRoD 3 months after release. If that is how Microsoft runs their show, then I wont support them. I never had a console break, and I have consoles all the way back to Atari.

thanks for some kind of response even though it my have been odd, but I have now made my decision. The 360 it's cheaper and I want to play prototype asap and other games, but thanks I'll post some better stuff now lol.

Well i chose Xbox 360 first because it was cheaper, i then later bought a PS3 once i saved up enough cash. There is no better console, they all have their flaws and good features that makes them different from each other, however with the whole motion craze about to hit us things will probably get crazy and the whole Fanboy crap will continue. Pretty pathetic really.

360
Well, as of now, the 360 seems to be getting more exclusive DLCs on multi system games, with GTAIV, Fallout 3, and others.
Xbox Live Updates happan faster, [when a glitch is found by a player, usually will be patched, if the devleoper is not lazy, in about 3 days, if not a week.]

The 360 has better triggers on its controller, and your fingers dont slide off.
PS3
PS3 has among the best system exclusives i've ever played, such as little big planet, and of course metal gear solid 4. Also killzone 2, if you like fps'.
PSN is free
HAS BETTER GRAHICS
[not a system buying perk, but the flamewars must stop]
But it really depends what your friends have, and your overall decision.

This is a horrible question to ask because it may trigger a Console Bar Fight. IMO go for the XBOX 360 because it offers better games that are only exclusive for it like Gears of War.

if I get biased answers for both PS3 and Xbox 360 it will help me make a concrete decision. I never new a person who actually wanted baised answers  Yeah that's more than a little weird. |

Well..its all up to you. I personally bought a PS3 because of the Playstation franchises. But the reason why we buy console is because of the video games coming to them. So to conclude this message, i doesnt matter what features or the price of the consoles, Ultimatelly, your choice is on what games you are looking for IMO. i hope u get something from this message.

I picked 360 coz of the bigger game library and most of friends have 360s aswell. But now with the recent releases of PS3 exclusives (inFAMOUS), and new good looking games(God of War 3, Uncharted 2.), most of the older exclusives are pretty good too (MGS4, Uncharted) and also coz Gears and Halo don't pleases me so much... But I'm not gonna trade my 360 for a PS3. If I ever get a PS3, it'l be from my hard earned cash.
So choose... I suggest PS3 first, and then get a 360... The 360 exclusives aren't all that great IMO.

well if you want Western style games choose Xbox360 if you want Japanese/eastern influenced games choose PS3
