I used to have an Iguana. ;O We had a leash for him and my brother and I would walk him around our pool deck. It was actually kinda cute, 'til the iguana got pissed off and whipped the shit out of us with his tail.
Also had a hedgehog, though that's not all that exotic anymore.
I always wanted a sloth, too. Or maybe a Lion. Or a spider monkey. I want a peacock! :O

i had an iguana also. i won him at a fair. he lived for 10 years
