New Youtube Beta Channels for 4PP w/ Art

I came across a channel on youtube that had this insane new design that is apparently a new beta for youtube channels. And because the 4PP Youtube is just a plain white background, I thought that the it could use an upgrade to the new beta channels. It's quite easy actually.

It's quite fascinating really. The youtube interface everywhere was becoming a bore.

In the event that 4PP actually does consider using the new beta channel, I came prepared with some designs for the backgrounds and such. They are as follows...

Background Art
Based off of and inspired by the forums design created by none other then our good friend BRYN.

It's fairly big, so I won't post the IMG.

Settings

To modify the look a bit more, click on Themes and Colors at the top.

Click New theme. These are the settings I used to get the look.

Font: Arial

Background Color: #9FC5E8

Wrapper Color: #eeeeee

Wrapper Text Color: #000000

Wrapper Link Color: #000000

Background Image: Select the Background art as linked above.

Repeat Background: Unchecked

Background color: #0B5394

Title text color: #eeeeee

Link color: #000000

Body text color: #CCCCCC

Hopefully, 4PP will consider this new look for their channel.

That's true Azn but it's an idea.

I can provide a better/bigger version of that background if they need it.
Also Azn, If you're keeping the white fade out at the bottom of that image, the background of the channel would have to be white.

It should be able to fit because I set the canvas pretty big. And about the background, I guess I should change it to white.

I say just remove the white at the bottom. The only reason I have it here is because you can't change the background of the Google search bar area, or the ad down there.

I tried this.

It was okay but you couldnt see comments with the video w/o click away.

Let me know when they fix that.

Do you mean you can't see the video comments? Because I can see mine fine.

If you mean channel comments, go to modules at the top and check comments.

Or perhaps when you're at the video page, go to Options next to text comments, and uncheck hide all.

He means, people can watch the video on the channel, but they can't comment unless they click a link to the video's page.

Which makes the system kind of redundant.


Also, I hope, that when the beta is over, that 2.0 wouldn't be site wide.
I like the original layout better.

The layout now allows comments by clicking on the comments box next to the info box. If you would like to use it now, it's ready.
