If you can afford only one video game system, which is a better choice?
Also, what games are out there (or coming out soon) that are a must have for that system?
I'm planning on buying one of the systems soon, so any help is appreciated.

I'd have to say a 360, it just seems to have something for every demographic video game player.
must haves I'd say Fallout 3 Fable 2 Gears 2
not to mention all the other great games taht are already released.
it also kind of depends on what your favorite genres are. If you posted that it would be easier for us to provide you with a better answer.

I would say the 360, of course I already own one. I wanted to 360 because I'm a fan of FPS and TPS games and the 360 had most of them. The PS3 just didnt have many if any FPS or TPS.
If you want help to choose a console, if would be good to know what kind of game you're into.

i would go and and look at the exclusive games that are coming or are already out and compare them for both consoles. Also i play my xbox 360 more but thats only because i had it first and my friends list is full on it and basically empty on my ps3 if all my xbox friends were on my ps3 friends list i would play my ps3 alot more as it is quieter and in the long run cheaper

In my opinion, the future will be better for the PS3 than the 360, but it depends, you have to try the games and you have to find genres that you like, if you have freinds with PS3's and 360's try to check out what games they have and what they do.

id say 360 myself. you can get a larger selection of games, so your more likely to find something that suits you. you can get games as cheap as a fiver since its been out a few years now and its the best out of the 3 for multiplayer.
and by that i mean the friends lists and networking and the big list of co-op games as well as the usual "12 year old calling you a f**king f*g" players.

Thanks for all the help so far. But I have no real preference for games. If a game is good, I like it.
But games that I think I might like the most would be action RPGs, 3rd Person Shooters and games with good co-op or online abilities.
Another thing I'm worried about is technical problems. The RROD worries me but I don't know how many people are effected by it. Also, are there many technical problems for the PS3?

The playstation isnt known to break down alot but that dosent mean it wont happen

ya, Microsoft have pretty much gotten rid of the RROD, yes its still around but the chances of you getting it are decreasing pretty much every week.
Also, from looking at what genres you like I would still suggest a 360. Xbox live is better than PSN, yes you pay for it, but in reality you really get what you pay for.
As for co-op goes, each system will have all their great co op games, but at the same time the online has to be reliable and I just think that Xbox live is the better online component right now.
hope we've helped ya out mouse!

Thanks for all the help, but I think I might be getting the PS3. A couple of my friends are getting one too, so I should be able to play with them. Once I get my gamertag (Or whatever it's called for PS3's online thing) I'll let you guys know.
Hopefully I can save up a bit more and get an Xbox360 by the next summer.
