Okay so I saw the wolveriene movie last night (Late, I know) and LOVED it... I mean, if they could have stuck to the comics a little more... especialy with character design it would be better but... I think I fell in love last night. *clears throat* Sorry for that. Anyway, I was reading x-men gossip and I'm probably really slow to find this information but "So, recapping on all that, we have these film projects in the pipeline: X-Men: First Class, X-Men Origins: Magneto, Deadpool and Gambit." SourceI knew about Magneto but Gambit origins? sounds like the best movie ever, to me atleast. What are you excited for in the X-men franchise future? Did you see the movie, did you like it? What could have made it better.. In your opinion? Ladies, can I get an amen on Taylor Kitsch?

I'd love an x-men origins: gambit. he's my favorite since the comics. I saw wolverine opening day, and i really wished that they had more from the other characters they advertised for in the comercials.

Deadpool is getting a movie? Oh, pleaasseee don't let them mess it up. Deadpool has always been a comedic character, Ryan Reynolds can pull it off, if they give him the right script.

Don't really care for the guy who played as Gambit but I love Gambit as a character so naturally I fangirled at his appearance. XD I'd be happy to have more Gambit! I thought Wolverine was pretty awesome even if it threw off the orignal comic series. But the way I see it is, even if it messes it up a bit, if I leave happy it was a good movie. Did anyone notice Wolverine's sparta kick on the sword guy? XD I was with my mom and there were only 4 other people in the theatre. When wolverine kicked him it was really quiet in that part of the movie. So I said "THIS IS SPARTA!" and my mom busted out laughing. I guess it would have fit more if I said this is x-men or something.

Since way back when I started reading the comics and watching their cartoon shows, Gambit was always my fav, that badass attitude of his, which of course wolverine has, but so much more different. Those are my top two X-men members and others are nowhere near as close.

Amazingly, with the few comics i've read, majority of them were gambit comics. I've always loved the character and the cartoon.
but, I fucking hated X-men Origins: Wolverine. Every mutant in the movie was messed up, especially gambit. heavy southern accent? WTF.
Of course i'm interested in a gambit origins movie, but just like i wanted with wolverine, i wanted to be a serious movie.
It's not going to happen.

Wasn't Gambit French? Correct me if I'm wrong. I thought I remember him having a french accent in most of the x-men cartoons and games

I have to admit: Xmen Origins: Wolverine kind of deterred me from the franchise.
Im not talking about the animations or the overall look of the movie(granted his claws looked like ass and the animation was extremely over-the top and corny at times)
I mean the mutants themselves.
I was absolutely shocked to hear a character(i dont remember who it was) to refer to their abilities as "powers".
X-Men is about a mutation in human genes, not about getting special powers. A lot of people's powers have always been over the top(Storm, Cyclops, etc..) But the idea that your "mutation" is to be able to shoot guns or use swords really well is the point where you start to become a super hero rather than a mutant, leave that to the Blade franchise(and yes, im looking at YOU Ryan Reynolds!).
Gambit.... Ive always loved the character, but ive never been able to figure out how he manipulates his "staff" and his deck of cards to do whatever the F*** it is that they do.
The X-Men series is getting off message, fans shouldnt want to see all action and casting eye-candy; they should care about the struggles of not being accepted for your gift/curse, and the borders of good and evil, and the flaws of humanity and our problems with rejecting people who are different from us.
(and i swear to god when my girlfriend got "the look" when gambit came on screen in the theater I knew that was exactly the reaction that the producers were going for. Uncool.)
PS. this is more of a rant, i know but i feel like these are valid points.
