Ok guys, for those of you who saw the movie, what did you think! Please try to keep spoilers to a minimum. Also, if anyone has any theories as to what the next film will be called, what villain will star, and where the story will go, please feel free to post them!
I personally loved the movie. I think it is easily the best superhero flick ever made, even better than Spider-man 2. All of the performances were solid, the action was great, and the joker was just fucking scary.... Also, he made the pencil disappear...

Being a HUGE Batman fan that was raised by an even bigger Batman Fan, my father, we no doubt were going to go to the Midnight showing even if he did have work at 5 in the morning. We got at the theater at 10, waited until 12, and boy was it worth the wait and admission.
Heath Ledger was quite possibly one of the best villains in any movie, he added a dark humor and seriousness that you didn't see from Jack's Joker years ago. He was just so good, you could obviously see that he added some of his little personality to the character which I liked. Aaron Eckhart played a great Harvey Dent, he nailed it perfectly, the look, personality. I could believe him being Harvey Dent from the comic books (The Long Halloween) Gary Oldman put on a great performance as Lt. Jim Gordon which was even better then his performance in Batman Begins. When we got out, my brother, father, and myself instantly wanted to turn around and wait for another showing. I seriously wanted to go so d**n badly again tonight.
In all, it was the BEST Batman film I've ever seen, even better then Batman 89 and Begins, It was the best use of 9 bucks ever in my book. If you're interested in the movie, but have never seen a Batman film, just go and rent Batman Begins and you'll be set. I recommend EVERYONE to go see this movie, this movie is so great that I didn't walk out thinking "Oh what a great Comic Book film!" I went out thinking "Holy nuts that was an amazing film"
On to my theory of the next movie title, I don't know. I believe that Nolan would probably end the series after a third one imo. I would also love to eventually see Nolan cast The Riddler, Mad Hatter, there's so many.
Also Nick, do you think you guys are going to talk a little about TDK on the next podcast? I'd love to hear Brad, David, and Travis's opinions on it.
Also how BADASS was it in IMAX, I MUST KNOW! lol

well I saw the movie at 11 oclock and like 3/4 the way through i thought "wow this is a long movie". and normally when i do this it tends to be a bad movie. But Dark Knight proved me wrong b/c everything was perfect, good plot twists throughout the film and it made you feel like u were at the edge of your seat and any part of the movie. it was spectacular! my thought on the next title?? ummmmmmmmmm no idea but I like how its not Batman 2, its "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" two seperate titles. the villain? ummmmm Two-Face I think is a given will most likely be the main villain b/c they never say that "two face" died, they say "harvey dent" which are two different ppl. My sisters friend told me they were gonna do the joker like they did with the scarcrow at the beginning where u see him, but since they obviously can't put the joker in again, I don't know what they'll do. but He said they were gonna have Two-Face as the main villain I think. and The Riddler? better not be Jim Carrey XD i think i spelled the last name wrong but oh well.

We will discuss the dark knight on tonights podcast. I also would say that I think Nolan and Goyer have no intention of making Two Face the villain in the next installment. In an interview from moviesonline.com, Goyer and Nolan both said they have a plethora of different villains to chose from that span a 70 year history of batman.
***SPOILER***Im fairly certain that Two Face's story arc is complete, they do briefly show his funeral in the last few seconds of the movie***

I waited 3 long years for this...I'm satisfied. It hits you real hard after watching TDK that sadly Heath won't be around to do the role again.
I would love to see Black Mask in the next one played DDL. Maybe have Deadshot in it...he was in Gotham Knight. But right now I'm still to speechless to give my opinions.
Oh btw
Mister Reese...misterreese....mysterious...i know someone gets it. Just connect the dots in the movie. Also the whole dog and cat thing about the suit...notice the cat attack thing.

ya, I also think Nolan threw a few hints into the movie about what the next villain would be. I always enjoy directors when they do a little foreshadowing in movies, gives movie nerds like us something to post about until something is confirmed

SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! two-face did die??? thats what i thought lol but my sister told me that was for "Harvey dent" and not the villain. I feel like that was a little short though...i'd like to have seen two-face do a little more but u can't ask for everything. Still a great movie.

Greatest movie I've ever seen. It was hella long but I didn't mind since I was at the edge of my seat the whole time anyway. But due to heath's passing, who will be the joker in any future Batman installments?

Well I saw it and Heath did a great job on the joker. Half the time I couldn't even tell it was him. This is the best movie i've seen this year so far.

I enjoyed it and it is one of the best summer movies that I have seen for far along with ironman. It's a long movie, but there are many twist and turns that holds your interest. It's also hard to not appreciate the Joker. This guy is scary, but also can very funny at the same time. Also, this guy is smarter than he looks, since he always has a plan up his sleeve. In fact, his plans causes so much destruction and chaos to the city, you can't help but say "MAN THIS GUY IS A RIOT, HE REALLY DOESNT KNOW WHEN TO STOP! ;D" Well I saw it and Heath did a great job on the joker. Half the time I couldn't even tell it was him. This is the best movie i've seen this year so far. Yea, he did pull off his role really. You can hardly recognize him at all with the acting and that makeup (Especially that tone of voice that he uses for the joker ).

It sucked.
...
Only because Heath did such a damn good job, there's no one in their right mind who could replace him now...*sighs*
..if by now you haven't realized, the first statement was sarcasm, that movie was flipping brilliant.

Don't know if anyone else picked up on this, but I thought it was kind of cool
the Joker knew that Batman was Bruce Wayne. If you didnt catch it, when Batman was in the holding cell beating up the Joker, he keeps tellin him how he thought batman was Harvey, but then figured it out when Batman threw himself after Rachel. So since the Joker knew this he said that Rachel was at this location and Harvey was at another, but he switched them because he knew Batman, being Bruce, would go after Rachel and the Joker needed Harvey alive to become Two Face.
Atleast thats how i interpreted that scene.

Fantastic film. Every actor in this movie did an amazing job. Even though Heath stole the show with his unforgettable Joker performance, most of the actors did their very best to make this an awesome summer movie.
The only problem I had was that Maggie Gylenhal (sp) was not the best choice for Rachel. Sure, she was good, but in my opinion she was just boring to look at. Then again, she did MUCH better than Mrs. Cruise from the last film.
Christian Bale and Heath Ledger did an amazing job together, as if they were meant to both be in this movie. I don't know why, but I think that the Joker and Batman can't live without eachother. Batman doesn't want to kill him, and the Joker can't resist the destruction and mayhem he can cause because of Batman. Then again, the two characters ARE probably the biggest rivals in comic book history.
So yeah, it was one of the best films I have ever seen, let alone THE best comic book movie I have ever seen. Then again, Nolan made this more than a comic book movie. It had a symbol that...even the good guys can become the villains. It actually made me think, other than the Michael Bay-esque mess that was Incredible Hulk.

Well, if you ask me, the character of Racheal is just not a good one to begin with. There's nothing all too interesting, so I guess it's not really her fault to begin with.
It's just an overall lack luster character...I'm glad that--
Shutting up! XD
