Nintendo
Bad -
EVERYTHING
There was nothing good about that AT ALL. Sony just has to show a sequel and announce some good games and while I'm typing this, Reggie is talking....whatta douche bag.

Sony Conference.
The Good -
Practically everything they showed was interesting, from PSP to PS3. More footage of already announded games from multiplatforms to exclusives like Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet and more. The video section on the Store looks a real treat as well. We got to see an impressive line up for the PSP and PSN to boot. $400 for an 80G is a plesant surprise. And so on.
The Bad -
For me, Gamespots feed f*cked up right before the showing of God of War III and other games. So I'm going to vent my frustration now in 3, 2, 1...
F*CKING C*CK SUCKING C*NT LICKING B*STARDS B*TCHES RUINING MY F*CKING FEED GOD D*MMIT YOU MOTHERF*CKING ASSH*LES I F*CKING HATE YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN MAY YOU ALL BURN IN THE F*CKING DEPTHS OF HEEEEEELLLLLLLLL!!!
Ok, glad I got that out of my system. Now to wait patiently for someone to upload the video footage.

I think both companies had a poor showing, although I did like Sony's LBP and Resistance stuff, but nothing to major intrigued me.
I'm curious though as to how a GTA game will work on a Nintendo system, that is something that I may look into.

The only thing I want is some demos on the marketplace. Only ones are Too human which I really enjoyed a lot and Tales of vesperia which was not for me at all.

I agree, I want more demos both on PSN and XBL. Some of the games they showed looked like they're gonna have demos, like Gears of War 2 and Fallout 3.

Two E3 threads? Whatever. All the conferences were disappointing, but nintendo has made the worst E3 conference in history. Also, no big bombs were dropped besides FF13 being announced for 360, which I'm not very happy with. I guess TGS will only be the videogame convention left that i will be looking forward to every year now O yea, how can I forget about this?

Wow, forums everywhere are going on about how every show failed and was crap. Makes me want to slap these fools and kick them in the groin. Both Microsoft and Sony had good conferences. I think MS started leaning on the whole multiplatform presentation style again as always with RE5 (Although it was awesome) and the dashboard and avatars look really iffy at this point in time (The new Dashboard looks really generic, and the Avatars still look like the b*stard child of a Mii thats been raped in an alley way by a Home user). But they earn mega points for the FFXIII 360 announcement.
But overall I think Sony just had the better show. There wasn't a part that left people stunned like the FFXIII part but the whole show just felt more impressive and had nothing but good all the way through. New titles for PS2, PSP and PS3, some epic demonstrations (300 ft boss for crying out loud!), great idea through showing charts in LBP, immediate store update with the videos section, 80G for $400 (Not sure about the B/C in it though), and finishing off with amazing trailers. At least thats what I think.
The only thing I think all of us, even the most hardcore or even casual Nintendo fan, can agree on is that the Nintendo conference was a disaster. Barely anything worth remembering, and I'm tempted to rank the Wii Music demonstration over Sony's E3 06 classics like Ridge Racer and Giant Enemy Crab. After seeing them play, I'm convince that the game is made specifically for the mentally challenge. You might think that's way too offensive, but look at it logically. With only the motion controls that have no pointy edges or need for practice and skill at all to play, it's like Nintendo are trying to go from grannys to the intellectual disabiled. Just check out the guy on the 'drums' for further proof.

I also agree that we all can agree that Nintendo had the worst conference. As for Microsoft and Sony go this is what I think. Microsoft had some pretty impressive information, it seems like they have really gotten a lock on getting games that are multiplat. There improvements, like netflix, is a good add on if you enjoy watching a lot of movies. Not to mention it being possible for 7 people to watch the same movie, although I prefer to have all the people in one place but thats just me. The Avatars seem a little silly, but who knows, they might be good. I really dont like the new dashboard, looks way to generic and plain. I really like the one we all have now, do not think they needed to change it. Sony They also had a pretty impressive showing. The one thing I dont like is it seemed like they were displaying more of the psp and ps2 titles and facts than i would have liked. But I'm sure they realized that those to systems are making them money, so why not show them the most. Their PS3 showings were so-so. I really liked the resistance demo, that 300ft cloverfield monster thing looks like a good time , The LBP powerpoint was also really cool and a great way to show off a game and the stats behind your company. Knowing that God of War 3 is in the future was also big for them, I mean they had to show it with the public knowing that Final Fantasy XIII is now multiplat. Killzone 2 also looks like it is coming along nicely. But I would say that MS had the best showing. In my eyes they showed enough of every aspect that would make the casual all the way to the hardcore gamers happy.

I forgot to mention, if the new ps3 doesnt support backwards compatability, and it's going to be the only ps3, its not going to go over too well with people who dont have one yet.
I know I was looking to buy a ps3 for their great AAA games, but also to play all my old ps2 games, and maybe buy a few more. (yakuza 2, ICO Personas etc...)
I have a feeling that will be a big deal if they get rid of the BC.

Fuck you PunchDrunk, if I would've slept I would've been screwed!
err...
I mean
The new 80GB is just the 40GB with a harddrive update. They'll still have the old 80GB and 20GB which both support backwards compatibility.

I think that expresses my opinion of the Nintendo conference quite well. Microsoft and Sony conferences were okay, Resistance 2 looks good, and the new 360 Dashboard looks good.

thanks ircmaster.... i think?
and I wrote what I wrote about the ps3 because of this:
So Sony have announced yet another PS3 model. And while it seems a ludicrous thing to do, given the negative reaction to their previous multi-SKU strategy, in this case it makes sense. Because from the tone and wording of their press release marking the occasion, it appears that this will be the one, the only PS3. By entering at 80GB, it confirms any lingering doubts that the existing 80GB model - the one with backwards compatability (which this console doesn't feature) - is on its last legs. Also, by entering the market at $399, failing to announce a price cut for the existing model and calling the 40GB its "predecessor" in the press release, it's obviously the smaller units replacement. So after all the confusion, all the whining, all the complaints, by September (when this model is due to hit the market) it looks like consumers will have only one PS3 model to choose from.
that was on kotaku yesterday, now if this is true, then I'll be upset, if not, and you still will be able to play ps2 games on ps3, then I'll buy one. For now, I'll wait.
