I was playing a borrowed copy that my friend had of Metriod Fusion for the Game Boy Advance. I got to a part that was timed, and it was really pissing me off. Enough that I actually punched my GBA, causing most of the screen to go black. This meant that I could still put in a game and hear sounds and everything, but see nothing.
Breaking your system because of a "hard" game = suck.
And frustration issues, lol

Playing Madden NFL '95 or something (because the sounds effects were fricking hillarious) and fought back from 3TDs behind to be winning with 3 seconds to go... and the prick scored a 97 yard touch down...
My brother was there too, laughing as I screamed Nooooo~~ run you assholes~~~ at the Tv... but my guys couldn't catch him.
I turned of the console before he crossed the goal line...

Most of them are recent as Developers seem to think releasing games that frustrate people will sell better. My worst is probably joining a match in CoD:WaW. Yes, every match. CoD5 has an extremely unbalanced multiplayer so wherever I join it's always on the team losing miserably. It always seems one team gets like 4 tanks and just monopolizes the battlefield. And half the time shots don't even register. I can't even go a single game without rage quitting. CoD4 didn't have this problem and I play a few games of that before getting bored, but in CoD5 I seem to always be on the team getting bombarded with tanks, eaten by dogs, and being suppressed by super soldiers with anti-bullet and anti-knife/bayonet armor. I've been wondering if its a ploy to get people to break their accessories/games/consoles to get the sales up a little >_> and yeah W@W just sucks.. I feel the same about Bad Company... I want to love the game like no other, but the fact that vehicles > infantry in just about every way makes me hate it, cuz I prefer being on foot (talking about MP balance).. plus if the attackers have 2 people good in a helicopter, they're unstoppable... I know cuz I've been one of those 2 before.. but still

I remember 2. One was playing Gran Turismo A-Spec(I think) I accidentally corrupted my file which I had completed 99% this was 8 years ago and thats the first time I remeber throwing my controller on the floor.
The other one was playing CoD4 sabotage against kids who didn't know how to play the game. I was owning with a 20 kill streak and started to lag. I had the bomb the entire time trying to make my way so I could arm it. While arming I lagged and i restarted the planting, then I died. After about a minute of lag where I couldn't move they planted the bomb, won the game I lost both my 20 kill streak, and my 21 game win streak I threw my controller so hard that the R1, L1 and L2 buttons flew off, and now everytime i use the controller the red light doesn't show up on the assigned number.

odd, not many people have PSO horror stories... =/ recently in Fallout 3.. i forgot to mention this one. When you are in the enclave prison and have your stuff taken away, you head to the locker to get your stuff. If you don't get ALL of your stuff then, it's lost forever. I didn't know that. I opened the locker, hit "TAKE ALL" button, closed.. only got ammo. f**k**g bullshit. lost every weapon i had, including alien blaster, Lincoln's repeater, that magnum with scope, that rare armor, all my 300 stim paks.. ugh.

Playing Resident Evil 4 (maybe moreso 5) for the first time.
My first thought was "What is this bullshit?"and "What has Capcom done to my beloved RE?". I enjoy the game, but that (and especially RE4 Co-op Edition) is NOT a Resident Evil title. It's a third-person shooter with good mechanics and awful storyline.
Realizing that FPSes were becoming huge, and adventure games were becoming worse or becoming...*shudders*...platformers or even....*shudders*...action games. I wasn't even around for the best adventure games (interactive fiction) but damn dude.

odd, not many people have PSO horror stories... =/ Funny you should mention that. Me and my younger bro used to play that game Co-Op, long time ago when it was on the Dreamcast. Though we got pretty good at it, because of the pasing of it, both me and my younger bro started nodding off during random points of the game. The majority of the times that this happened: Boss Fights.

Mario Kart double dash 150cc on the star cup. Would kick but until rainbow road and then it all falls apart. I keep falling off of the sides. That road haunts me.

I've got loads, but a very memorable one was last year after I got Crisis Core : Final Fantasy VII, great game, I put over 65 hours into it over the course of about 3/4 months, I remember playing it during my breaks while doing my work experience, it was awesome.
Late last year, I was deleting some stuff from my memory stick, and remembered you could just format it, forgetting I hadn't backed up any of my saves...
I've never been so gutted in my gaming life, it was only the third RPG I'd really loved, and poured so much time into (FFX and FFXII as well).
To have over 65 hours of gameplay disappear in a matter of seconds, is very depressing, especially seeing as I was going through some rough times.
I now back up all my gamesaves as often as I can.
