GTA4 Mythbusting!!

Ookays, didn't know whether to put this up in general or vg, but here goes:

There's a TON of new vids out there purporting to show or prove/disprove several things that are supposedly in Grand Theft Auto 4. Seeing as my YouTube channel has this huge following for some odd reason (*cough*BRADVIDS*cough*), I've gotten several emails asking if 4PP would care to try some of these out for themselves.

First, the ghost in the abandoned Sprunk Factory. From what I've seen in vids, there appears to be either a sound glitch or a graphics glitch in that you can hear/interact with hobos in the factory (ie bumping into them, etc) but the characters are invisible, hence they're "ghosts". That should be easy enough for Brad to check on, right? Aside from the biker gang that's holed up in there as well...

Second, and one of the most contoversial, is Ratman. www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2ZDhPH1seE for the best video of this on YouTube (it's NOT a screamer, thank heavens- one of the only ones that isn't). Apparently there is someone killing hobos down in the tunnel system, leaving behind bodies chewed up by rats or something more sinister. Again, should be easy to check on.

Third, the pirate ghosts in the Boardwalk area. Supposedly, there's voices and glitched up pedestrians looking like pirates or something in that area. Not too bad to try and check out, right? www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcSxKYAo5nU

San Andreas had the best Myths. Ratman? Pirates? None of these things compare to Bigfoot, leatherface, and Pigsy.

You must be missing another myth. Theirs rumors going around on about a bear somewhere in liberty city.

I do remember on an in game news report about a bunch of rumors people had. Maybe if you could somehow find out what they were talking about you'd have something. The in game internet is also a good place to look and see what's a real easter egg and what's just a myth.

Well I've been almost all over good ol Liberty City and have not seen a Bear, but I'll keep looking form time to time concerning these myths

i know for a fact you can meet the serial killer going around, and there's also a hobo mattress city under the main island in the subway catacombs.

That video didn't really prove anything. All he did was just zoom in on some stains on the floor, the corpse and ran around for 7 mins. Those bite marks on his back and ass are clearly bullet shot wounds. Seriously, that was a waste of 7 minutes.

I gotta admit, people sure are creative when it comes to making myths in GTA. All it takes is for one person on a forum to say, "I wonder if bigfoot is in SA" and the internet is filled with hundreds of videos trying to either prove it, show off a PC mod or scare the shit out of you with a screamer. lol

I am in the old sprunk factory right now, it is pouring rain, and I can hear heavy breathing, will update regularly.

I shot my gun because I thought something moved and i heard

PLEAAAAAAAAASE LEAAAAAAAAAVE!

then I shot a second time and i heard

ALRIGHT LET'S BOUNCE!

And when I walked back downstars a guy in a burgundy jacket and a red bandana started shooting me.

I left the building and I just went back inside the basement and just stood there for a moment... Then I heard cackling...





This shit is fucked up.
