Yeah he looks awesome in MGS4, but yeah a lot of people hate him lol some even still hate him calling him a rip of Grayfox.
But I was a fan of him in mgs2 I actually liked the surprise. I can understand why people hated him since everyone wanted to play as Snake instead of him, but I liked that they added him it adds more story and characters to MGS.

I actually liked it too. I don't understand that complaint anyways because he has become the next Ninja, which technically makes him the new Greyfox. This is intended so calling him a rip off doesn't make sense. If they were trying to pass him off as a totally different character all together, then I would understand. No one called Olga a rip off of Grey Fox even though she was the ninja in MGS 2.

Cyborg Ninja or not, Raiden pales in comparison to the legendary Solid Snake. Raiden does look cool in 4 though.

I've yet to play as raiden so far but I'm sure I will like it. Who doesn't like sword combat?
