So I just got a possible solution to solve to mass idiot problem in chat, since most of the annoying chatters get their hype for 4PP by watching the highlight reel. We could just get rid of it and just have to deal with the annoying people from youtube.
What do you guys think?

I could care less.
Like I said in the other topic, it's pointless to remove the highlight reel, because it will do nothing to deter the people that find 4PP, because no one finds 4PP by the JTV highlight reel.

I said reduce, not cure. I know back when I started watching 4PP, I thought the highlight reel was hilarious and I constantly said "Do a bearral roll" and "Revolutionary War charge!" Yes, there will always be those people from youtube. But it's a start. Wrote this on the other thread. Respond The only three highlights that possibly get discovered from youtube is "Holy Crap! That's a Bear" "Scooter Brothers" and some Fatal Frame scares. We wouldn't have to see "Do a bearall roll!" since that is usually discovered in the highlight reel along with many others. |

There's one problem
We can't even access the highlight reel to add new clips.
Theres some glitch that everytime we go to access it,
it freezes.
We don't know why

keep the reel if JTV fixes it but replace all the clips with newer ones that are less recognizable to youtubers.

Youtubers mainly expect 4PP to be like the clips, and the current clips are really old. (Thanks a lot JTV >_>) If anything, the idea that Brad still gets scared by any Horror game, or that he still plays them, needs to get out of their heads, along with Nobunaga. If there are newer clips, then the new chatters will get a better idea of what 4PP is currently like and the Youtubers won't have well known clips to quote. But for the time being, I've learned to just ignore most chatters who quote the highlights. |

Yeah, if JTV fixes the highlights, i think they should put some new ones in. Like others have said, the current highlights are quite different from the 4PP of today.

As fun as the reel is, I mute/pause it every time I come into chat. When I went to Travis' channel, it was really exciting to see a new reel . . . But I still just muted it and ignored it after one watch-through.
As others have said, changing the reel won't do anything. They will just quote newer clips instead of older clips. Sure it will be nice to not hear about Nobunaga or barrel rolls, but soon it will be old and repetitive like before. This isn't fixing the problem, it is just changing it.
I honestly think that nothing will fix this problem and everyone will just have to continue to deal with it. If you're sick of hearing the reel, pause it or mute it. If you're sick of hearing people quote the reel, post a link to the rules. Mods will do their jobs if they continue to quote.
Removing it may seem like it will help, but it is a nice way for new people, who may be finding 4pp through Jtv since it's on the front page so often, to see what 4pp is all about. The sudden jump in users has to be from the jtv main page, not youtube, though we all know many find it that way. Some people, believe it or not, DID find 4pp some way other than youtube. *Me.* Seeing the reel helped me decide if I would come back and watch more. I think it should stay, whether they find a way to update it or not, it doesn't matter to me.

I don't really mind the highlight reel but after one run through of all the highlights i usually pause it whenever I'm in chat
