Never have I seen an anime when I actually cared about the characters as deeply as Air had me almost in tears on several occasions, and actual tears on a couple.
That may sound like me being a pansy, but seriously, go watch it. All twelve 20-minute episodes in one night.
I don't want to spoil anything about it, but one of the major plot points is obvious from the start, and seems cheesy at first, but keep watching, because they take it to a completely different level.
Now, I'm not sure what kept me watching this all night, or what had me caring for these characters, but it's just so well done, I may have to rearrange my Anime Top 10 list to fit this on there.

THE ANIME that had me started on anime watching, after reading through the transcript of the original Visual Novel i stumbled across this anime. The presentation of the story is so well done, and thumbs up to KyoAni for sticking to the original as much as possible.
Seriously, this is one awesome anime you anime watchers should not miss out.
and darknezz, that is not pansy, that's just being human.
